Domaine de Charron

The story began at the beginning of the last century in Perquie in the Landes on the vineyards of the great-grandmother of Jacques and Claude Lartigue. From these vines planted entirely with Baco grape varieties, wine was made sold to the cooperative and it was not uncommon for a few pieces of Armagnac to emerge depending on the year.

It was in 1985 when their father Fernand evoked the wish to uproot these vines planted with Baco that Jacques and his brother Claude decided to acquire these plots of 2 hectares in order to revive the production of Armagnac. The work of the vineyard was entrusted to the neighboring winemaker, which made it possible to immediately produce a natural wine of high quality thanks to his know-how.

The Domaine de Charron being located on an exceptional terroir, all means were implemented to produce a high quality Armagnac. The skill of the best distillers in Villeneuve-de-Marsan, the systematic placing in new barrels for each new harvest, as well as a carefully chosen cellar have made it possible to achieve the desired quality objective.
