Buy rum from Reunion Island

Reunion Island

The cultivation of sugar cane on Reunion Island has been present since the 17th century and makes it one of the most famous bastions of Rum. Since the Napoleonic era, the production of spices and coffee has also been very present there, and its exchanges with Madagascar until the 19th century certainly mark the root of the existence of “arranged rums” and “spiced rum” so present on the island! Known to the general public for its large-scale rum, Charette, it should be noted that this is a blend of productions from the three major active houses Rivière du Mât, Isautier and Savanna. These three houses benefit from the agricultural label by working with pure cane juice, but also traditional molasses rum. Each of these major brands provides exceptional cuvées and vintages!
