Since its creation in 1931, the NEISSON distillery has preserved in the purest Martinican tradition the components of a rum with incomparable flavors and taste. Packaged in a bottle with generous shapes, reasonable among all: "Zépol Karé" as the amateurs say, our rums are the result of a know-how constantly renewed from the cane fields to the aging cellars. The distillery NEISSON produces agricultural rums that benefit from the appellation d'Origine Controlée Rhum Agricole Martinique. An agricultural rum is derived from the distillation of cane sugar juice as opposed to industrial rums that come from the distillation of molasses (residue of cane sugar production). The activity of the distillery corresponds to the sugar cane harvest period which generally takes place from the end of February to the end of June. The rest of the time, the production tool is maintained, restored, so that it is fully operational during the "harvest". The distillery is now managed by the daughter and grandson of Hildevert-Pamphille Neisson, founder of the distillery. This small factory can boast today of having been able to preserve its independence as one preserves a fragile treasure, at a time when most distilleries are absorbed by large groups. Thus, the Neisson distillery remains an essential reference in terms of quality, authenticity, and unique place in the hearts of its loyal consumers: a rum Antan Lontan. "A desire to remain on a human scale, combined with a search for excellence, are in our opinion the only guarantee of offering a rare product, and that the family tradition can continue." Thanks to this requirement, the notoriety of Neisson rums continues to grow abroad, and awards are becoming more and more numerous.
