Smokehead

Smokehead was designed in 2006 to recruit new consumers: younger, more connected, more fun. In its early days, the brand moved closer to cocktail bars. We also remember its association in 2008 with Brewdog, the cult Scottish beer whose Paradox aged in ex-cask having contained the whisky made a hit. Because Smokehead proclaims it loud and clear: it is a whisky of today.

And it's not just for thrill seekers. The apparent youth of the distillate (5 to 7 years, probably) is misleading because there is a lot of complexity. Behind this frank and iodized attack, the fruit is never far away, nor are the spices. This does not detract from the exotic, almost coconut sweetness of the distillate. And like a wave (or a good slap), peat and smoke return to the charge. Endlessly and relentlessly. And for 10 years, always the same question: where does whisky come from? Lagavulin ? Caol Ila ? Ardbeg ? The mystery remains.
