The rum specialist, Marco Savio of Savio Trading Srl in Aosta, Italy, is the founder of Malecon rums. The rum is produced according to the traditional Cuban method from the Caribbean Spirits Panama Distillery and offers an exceptional range of aromas and impressions and can – depending on the rum – age for 25 years and more.
The Malecon rum is distilled from molasses. Modern distilleries and extensive handling make it possible to obtain a particularly aromatic distillate. White rum is stored for many years in oak barrels. American bourbon barrels that have already been used are used for this. In these barrels, the fine vanilla aromas and intense sweetness develop to perfection.
