Domaine de Charron Vintage 2001
Son of the folle blanche and the noah, baco is a grape variety exclusively represented in the AOC Armagnac. Its lower susceptibility to vine diseases makes it an ecological grape variety, but everyone agrees that its main quality is its ability to work wonders when it exchanges with oak wood during the long years of aging in barrels: 19 years
This Armagnac vintage 2001 was born from a distillation at 52, 53 ° in traditional Armagnac still in copper heated with wood. This vintage is bottled without reduction, to the natural degree of the barrel.
Our tasting notes for Vintage 2001
The story began at the beginning of the last century in Perquie in the Landes on the vineyards of the great-grandmother of Jacques and Claude Lartigue. From these vines planted entirely with Baco grape varieties, wine was made sold to the cooperative and it was not uncommon for a few pieces of Armagnac to emerge depending on the year.
