L'encantada Jamaican Rum Finish 2002
An estate Pouy 2002 in Armagnac Tenarèze, limestone terroir, estate with Armagnacs a little strong in degree. Vincent, our cellar master, wanted something fruity, which had character to marry with this Jamaican rum barrel with the characteristic scents of these hydrocarbon rums... Armagnac and rum play a crossover on the nose. Sometimes one, sometimes the other. These oily, woody aromas, very ripe bananas, a little vegetable, cut grass and then comes the sweet side, pineapple, apricot, mango ... tobacco. After aeration, we think we recognize violet, this old plum side coming straight from the native Tenarèze of the Domaine Pouy 2002.
