Its rich flavor makes it a very good base for cocktailsbut also comes out beautifully mixed with fruit juices or sodas. It certainly revolutionized the classic Australian coca rum. Overproof rum has been highly valued because of its alcohol content and its influence on the character of rum. The proof is that it was tested by pouring a few drops on gunpowder that caught fire. If the powder remained lit, the rum was "proof", if it exploded it was "over proof". We now know that the alcohol content of a "proof" rum is 57.2%. Gold Coin can be enjoyed perfectly on ice or as a high-end cocktail base. With a magnificent amber color with aromas of grapes, chocolate, toasted almonds with a hint of banana. A swirling pleasure on the palate with more and more dry aromas and woody oak that ends on a long and warm finish.
