Rum from the Alps

Stroh 80 is an Austrian rum-based spirit, produced since 1832 in Klagenfurt. Created by Sebastian Stroh, it has established itself as an indispensable ingredient in pastry and alpine cuisine. At 80%, it is one of the strongest spirits on the market, designed primarily for culinary use: flambéing, pastries, Jagertee (Austrian rum tea) and hot punches.

Power and intense aromas

The nose is intensely aromatic: burnt caramel, concentrated vanilla, molasses, spices and empyreumatic notes. The palate is burning and extremely concentrated at 80°, with flavours of butterscotch, toffee and warm spices. Mainly used in pastry (strudel, Sachertorte, rum baba) and in cooking, it also flavours Alpine hot chocolates and toddies. A one-of-a-kind product, indispensable in the kitchen.
