Barbados, the founding land of rum

Barbados is often considered the birthplace of rum. It is in this tropical environment that the rums that make up Planteray Barbados 5 Years begin their maturation, benefiting from climatic conditions that favour intense exchanges between the spirit and the wood of the barrels.

An emblematic double ageing

After an initial maturation in bourbon barrels in the climate of Barbados, this rum continues to age at the Château de Bonbonnet, in France. It is then matured in small Ferrand barrels, according to the double ageing method characteristic of the Planteray house. This approach brings an extra dimension to the blend, while preserving the authentic style of Barbados rums.
