Principia is the latest creation by Richard Seale (Foursquare Distillery) and Luca Gargano (Velier Importer and Trader). 100% aged in the tropical climate of Barbados, Principia is a rum bottled at the natural strength of the barrels (62%). Its ageing is atypical, this rum has been aged for 3 years in barrels containing Bourbon and 6 years in Sherry barrels (Olorosso).

Velier Principia unveils an aromatic palette whose construction commands admiration as it has been made with the precision of a watchmaker. In terms of taste, with the same concern for accuracy, the finesse and airy character of the distillate are so remarkably highlighted that they in turn arouse enthusiasm. In the finale, the ardour with which she takes up her pilgrim's staff shows the way in which it is obvious that in reality this Foursquare is constantly putting its work back on the job.
