It is said that the first traces of rum distillation date back to 1651 on the island of Barbados... Plantation's 2001 vintage is a perfect example of voluptuous, sweet and fruity Barbados rum.

Simply one of the oldest rums of Barbados available, it has a rare complexity, always in the fine and delicate register of this island, here sublimated by floral and citrus notes that are reminiscent of some Sauternes even if here the tannic structure brings depth and length in the mouth.

Fermentation : 3 days
Distillation : 2001, blend of column and ironed rums (Potstill)
Tropical aging : eleven years in Bourbon barrels, Barbados
Continental aging, Ageing: two years in Pierre Ferrand barrels, Château de Bonbonnet, France.

Did you know?

The label features Morgan Lewis' mill, the last sugar cane mill still in operation.
The trident found on the frieze is reminiscent of the Barbadian flag, as a symbol of independence and the future.
