Simply one of the oldest rums from Barbados available, it has a rare complexity, always in the fine and delicate register of this island, here sublimated by floral and citrus notes that are reminiscent of certain Sauternes even if here the tannic structure brings depth and length in the mouth.

Fermentation : 3 days
Distillation : 2001, blend of rums distilled in columns and irons (Potstill)
Tropical ageing : eleven years in Bourbon barrels, Barbados
Continental ageing, ageing: two years in barrels of Pierre Ferrand, Château de Bonbonnet, France.

Did you know?

The label features Morgan Lewis' mill, the last sugar cane mill still in operation.
The trident on the frieze is reminiscent of the Barbadian flag, as a symbol of independence and the future.

Plantation Rum

The house of Cognac, Cognac Ferrand is at the origin of this fascinating brand that is Plantation Rum. Maison Ferrand originally maintained privileged relationships with the best distilleries in the Caribbean to which it sells barrels that have contained its Cognac. The barrels of the Ferrand house are very popular with some rum producers who use them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover very old batches with an aromatic richness and a diversity of extraordinary aromas.
