She selected rums distilled in 2009 that were distilled exclusively in the distillery's double-twisted stills. The rums in this batch have been aged for 10 years in American oak barrels. Next, Branker refined the rum in first-fill whiskey casks.
Bottled at 48% cask strength. Only 4920 bottles were produced, of which 1002 were destined for the American market.

Mount Gay Rum

Mount Gay Rum would be the oldest distillery in the world, at least that's what Christie's attests by selling the oldest bottles of rum in the world, dating back to 1780! Mount Gay is said to have begun the first distillations around 1667.
