Behind the Calvados Domfrontais Alexandre Vingtier, 48 , hides a long heritage of Norman know-how. Produced in the Domfrontais region, where pears play a key role in distillation, this rare Calvados has benefited from 48 years of ageing in oak barrels. The result is a spirit with unique flavours, where the sweetness of fruit is combined with the depth of wood. In terms of taste, it offers a rich and nuanced experience.
On the nose, a bouquet of ancient sherry, pear and dried apple immediately captivates, while on the palate, the flavours blossom with notes of honey, liquorice and spices.
The long and persistent finish leaves rancio impressions of ripe fruit, sublimated by touches of wood, ash and almond.
