Kilkerran 8 year old brut de barrel single malt whisky is slightly peat. Entirely aged in ex-sherry barrels, Kilkerran 8 years old brut de barrel reveals an aromatic profile as intense as it is unique.

Bottled to the natural degree (56.9°), this whisky reveals a nose where peat coats juicy fruit. On aeration, the smoke takes over to wrap in turn vanilla, caramel and black cherry.
The palate is balanced, the red fruits dominate at first the peat, which asserts itself on cocoa flavors deliciously acidulated by the lemon. In the finale, it is a real empyreumatic ballet: sandalwood, burnt wood, peat, smoke and iodine complete this dense aromatic unfolding.

Kilkerran, Whisky écossais

Kilkerran is one of those Scotch whiskies that does not bear the name of its distillery, Glengyle. There aren't that many of them, thankfully because it can be a bit confusing, right? Founded in 1872 and mothballed in 1925, the distillery came back to life in somewhat incredible circumstances. Background. In 1998, the Scotch Whisky Association (which governs the Scotch name) considered removing Campbeltown – one of Scotland's six production regions – from the shelves.
