Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 4
Its particular peat captivates us from the opening. A strong maritime influence evokes memories of the sea salt port carried by the wind. Then come the chamallows grilled on the campfire against the backdrop of a floral land reminiscent of wild heather. The mouth is powerful. Its oily texture, signature of Kilkerran whiskies, summons peat and iodine. For this new batch, Kilkerran offers us a real bottled storm where flavors of almond pasta and orange zest are invited.

Kilkerran, Whisky écossais
Kilkerran is one of those Scotch whiskies that does not bear the name of its distillery, Glengyle. There aren't that many of them, thankfully because it can be a bit confusing, right? Founded in 1872 and mothballed in 1925, the distillery came back to life in somewhat incredible circumstances. Background. In 1998, the Scotch Whisky Association (which governs the Scotch name) considered removing Campbeltown – one of Scotland's six production regions – from the shelves.
