Kilkerran 8 years Brut de Fût Port
Kilkerran 8 Year Old Port Cask Strength has been aged entirely in ex-Port casks. Bottled at 57.9°, the Kilkerran 8-year-old Single Malt Brut de fût Port reveals a nose with surprising notes of redcurrants and Parma ham. The palate is rich and delicate. It is reminiscent of a fruit cake covered in chocolate. The larded flavours of the nose return to the finish accompanied by a hint of pepper.
Kilkerran, Whisky écossais
Kilkerran is one of those Scotch whiskies that does not bear the name of its distillery, Glengyle. There aren't that many of them, thankfully because it can be a bit confusing, right? Founded in 1872 and mothballed in 1925, the distillery came back to life in somewhat incredible circumstances. Background. In 1998, the Scotch Whisky Association (which governs the Scotch name) considered removing Campbeltown – one of Scotland's six production regions – from the shelves.
