Carefully crafted by the La Favorite distillery, the 2014 L'Authentique Édition Limitée Yole embodies Martinican authenticity and know-how. Distilled in a small Creole column after a long natural fermentation, this white rum draws its richness from a unique artisanal production, where a century-old steam engine is still used to grind the cane. This limited edition pays tribute to the Tour des Yoles, a festive and unmissable nautical competition in Martinique, adding a cultural dimension to this exceptional rum.
An intense and captivating tasting
On the nose, this rum seduces with aromas of ripe sugar cane, accompanied by velvety flowers and bright citrus fruits. A peppery touch, typical of La Favorite, brings a subtle balance between rusticity and finesse. With aeration, the exotic and tropical fruits intensify, enriched by peppery minerality and notes of cane bark.
On the palate, the balance is perfect: peppery flavours open up to a full-bodied and generous texture, evoking fermented cane juice, lime and a slight bitterness. The finish is long and complex, evolving into nuances of authentic, almost olive-like fermentation, reminiscent of the very essence of traditional agricultural rum .
