Relaunched in 2017 by the sixth of the generation, and grandson of André Gérard, it is now assembled by Guillaume Ferroni (Maison Ferroni) while remaining as close as possible to the original.

Manikou

The Manikou is one of the legendary brands of rum produced by Gérard Frères. Founded in 1838 in Saint Pierre (Martinique), it was the first in Marseille to register a rum trademark, in 1877. Having lost everything during the eruption in 1902, the Gérard family transferred all activities to Marseille around the acronym CMR, Comptoir Marseillais des Rhums.
