Courvoisier Initiale Extra is a rare blend of very old eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne and Borderies crus, aged to perfection for decades and meticulously assembled by our Cellar Master and his team. This sublime cognac is the expression of perfection and is recognized throughout the world for being an exceptional cognac with a character of great richness.
Balanced aromas for perfect harmony A cognac rich in aromas is a cognac that develops a lot of finesse. The terroir, the vines, the barrels and the years of maturation are all elements that define the specificities of each of these aromas and that is why we bring at each stage of the elaboration of our cognacs all the care necessary for their exaltation. The quality of Courvoisier cognacs is recognized worldwide and regularly rewarded at various international spirits competitions (IWSR, San Francisco Spirits Competition...).
Old Port This aroma comes from the long aging process. During all these years, the eaux-de-vie slowly evaporate and it takes about three bottles of brandy to produce one bottle of Initiale Extra.
Truffle The wet cellars, with identical soil for centuries, in which we age Initiale Extra allow the truffle aroma to develop slowly. We pay particular attention to these cellars to maintain perfect humidity conditions without which this aroma could not develop.
