Grosperrin 1991 Petite Champagne

This vintage cognac comes from the only auction ever organized by the O.R.E.C.O. in 2012. From the 1960s to the early 1980s, individuals could invest in cognac barrels.

The lots were stored under state control, and often forgotten for several decades. To the point that some owners have... disappeared. Despite all the legal steps taken with the authorities, it was clear that there was no one left to claim these barrels. They were therefore sold at auction for the benefit of the storage organization, because decades of rent were sometimes due. The sale was organized by an auctioneer and two sworn brokers. This cognac is one of those truly forgotten barrels.

Our tasting notes for 1991 Petite Champagne
