With Insolito, Matusalem intends to break the codes of rum! Its distinctive pinkish colour is the result of a very original manufacturing process. The iconic Matusalem Gran Reserva 15 rum has been filtered over charcoal to restore its crystalline colour, before being aged for 3 years in Tempranillo barrels, the famous Spanish red wine, hence its colour and all its atypical flavour. On the palate, the roundness of Gran Reserva is immediately rediscovered and quickly gives way to a creaminess and fruitiness never before encountered in the range of Matusalem rums. Matusalem

The two brothers Benjamin and Eduardo Camp emigrated from Spain to Cuba in 1870 to open a rum distillery. In 1872, Matusalem was born. The name Matusalem refers to the Solera technique, specific to sherry.
