Mezan - Dominican Republic 2010 is a light molasses rum, distilled in the Dominican Republic from local raw materials. Aged for 10 years in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, it has been aged twice: 3 years in a tropical climate, then 7 years in Europe for a more gradual maturation. True to the philosophy of Mezan, it is bottled without the addition of sugar, coloring, or cold filtration.

Careful ageing for a beautiful complexity

Thanks to its refinement in bourbon barrels, this rum develops a balanced profile between roundness and woody intensity. The alternation between tropical and continental climate gives it a harmonious structure, enriching its aromatic palette.

A roasted and gourmet aromatic profile

On the nose, delicate floral notes precede touches of burnt oak and caramel. With aeration, the rum gains in roundness, revealing sweet spices and a hint of toasted coconut. On the palate, roasting and caramelization dominate, accompanied by nuts, maple syrup and blond tobacco. The finish, long and patina, ends with a greedy woodiness and a touch of vanilla.
