About this Masterclass
Mount Gay, the oldest rum distillery in the world (1703), invites you to a Masterclass in our shop. Discover how water purified by coral limestone and the finest molasses from the Caribbean feed rums distilled either in double-column stills or in pot stills, then aged in varied casks (whisky, bourbon and cognac) to reveal depth and balance. Blended by Master Blender Trudiann Branker, these rums punctuate the unique character of Barbados' tropical climate while pursuing a sustainable approach that reduces the carbon footprint. You will taste the latest releases from the Single Estate Series as well as, in the Master Blender Collection edition, the Cognac Cask Expression. Join us for a guided tasting and an immersion in the history and evolution of Barbadian rum to the present day.
Tasting location
In the heart of the Latin Quarter, a 5-minute walk from Pont Neuf metro stations (line 7), Odéon (lines 4 & 9) and Saint-Michel Notre Dame station (RER B & C). A 7-minute walk from La Samaritaine and Boulevard Saint-Germain.
