Planteray Fiji Islands Vintage 2001 23 Year Old: A Fiji Treasure

Distilled in Fiji's only distillery, Rum & Co of Fiji, founded in 1980 in Lautoka, the Planteray Fiji Islands 2004 23 Year Old is the result of exceptional craftsmanship. This rum is made from a pot still distillation, a traditional method that gives it a singular aromatic richness.

Aging in the tropics

This vintage was aged for 19 years in the tropical climate of the Fiji Islands, in bourbon barrels, before being transported to the cellars of the Maison Ferrand for a 4-year maturation in cognac barrels. This unique maturation process gives this rum great complexity while preserving its authenticity.

A perfect balance

With an ester content of 189 grams per hectolitre, the Planteray Fiji Islands Vintage 2001 23 Year Old has a perfectly balanced aromatic palette. Its refined sequences reveal original and refined aromas, offering a harmonious and sophisticated tasting experience.

The house of Cognac, Cognac Ferrand is at the origin of this fascinating brand that is Plantation Rum. Maison Ferrand originally maintained privileged relationships with the best distilleries in the Caribbean to which it sells barrels that have contained its Cognac. The barrels of the Ferrand house are very popular with some rum producers who use them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover very old batches with an aromatic richness and a diversity of extraordinary aromas.
