Michaël Landart, founder of the Maria Loca brand, has signed with the Maca Spiced Rum First Edition a spiced rum that is radically different from industrial spiced rums. The recipe is based on a Mauritian base rum in which five carefully sourced fresh spices are infused: cinnamon from Sri Lanka, tonka bean from Brazil, coffee from Venezuela, nutmeg from Guatemala and cloves from Indonesia.
Five spices, zero artifice
The philosophy of the house is uncompromising: no artificial flavors, no colorings, no added sugar. The spices are infused directly into the rum, giving this First Edition a natural and complex flavor profile. The nose mixes the warmth of cinnamon with the roasted notes of coffee and the sweetness of tonka bean. On the palate, the substance is round and spicy, with a finish where nutmeg and cloves bring a warm length. A spiced rum designed for pure tasting or in creative cocktails .
