History of the distillery

In Karukera, the transmission of Guadeloupean know-how guides the creation of exceptional rums. With the Empyrhum range, the house highlights the intimate relationship between oak, fire and time, pillars of an artisanal distillery focused on the right expression of the terroirs.

Product Overview

Empyrhum Profil 1 is the result of a first maturation, followed by a second maturation in new barrels of noble wood. This profile is based on a French plain oak subjected to a triple toast, in order to refine the structure and amplify the empyreumatic palette. The precise approach to aging in barrels enhances a generous texture and a controlled woodiness, for a rum of character designed for pure tasting.

Tasting notes

Delicate, fat profile, marked by smoky, toasted and subtly spicy nuances; The finish stretches long on peaty notes. A rum that will seduce lovers of spirits worked by toasting, looking for a singular aromatic signature.

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
