History of the rum factory

Product Overview

Empyrhum Profil 4 benefits from a first maturation, followed by a second maturation in new barrels of noble wood. This profile explores a Caucasian mountain oak subjected to a long medium toast, in order to refine the structure and highlight a fresh and delicate framework. Aging in barrels reinforces the precision of the woodiness and the balance of the texture.

Tasting notes

Nose and palate marked by eucalyptus and sandalwood, enhanced with black pepper. The material remains light and supple, carried by a significant natural sweetness that stretches the finish, for a fresh, subtle and harmonious profile.

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
