History of the distillery

The Montebellodistillery, located in Guadeloupe, is part of a family tradition recognized for its artisanal know-how around agricultural rum. For several decades, it has been promoting production that is attentive to the cane, the terroir and distillation methods that respect the authenticity of Caribbean spirits.

This Montebello - 8 years old - Brut de fût - Vintage 2016 (Batch 2) comes from a selection resulting from an eight-year ageing in American Bourbon barrels. Barreled in September 2016 and bottled in a limited series, it offers a more frank and generous profile than the classic expression of the 8-year-old. Its natural, unreduced concentration enhances the nuances linked to barrel ageing and the character of agricultural rum.
