The meeting of two island terroirs

With Vagabond Spirits - Off Road 3.2 Cape Verde Guadeloupe, Vagabond Spirits highlights the expression of sugar cane through a blend of 60% Cape Verde rum, made according to the Grogue tradition, and 40% Guadeloupe rum. This union of two island origins offers an original interpretation of pure rum, based on the authenticity of raw materials and local know-how.

Extraordinary underwater ageing

After blending, the rum is aged in new 64-litre French oak barrels in an atypical environment: a secret site off the coast of Brittany. The barrels are immersed at a depth of 20 metres and remain in direct contact with seawater for 11 months. This method promotes a significant natural reduction while exposing the spirit to the variations and constraints of its environment.

An identity shaped by the elements

Subject to marine conditions and climatic hazards, this rum develops a personality marked by its ageing method. Its profile is distinguished in particular by a strong saline imprint, a direct result of this maturation in immersion. A singular cuvée that illustrates Vagabond Spirits' desire to explore new approaches to the aging of spirits.
