A new collaboration with an eye to the future

Karibia - Eliko Batch 3 Avenir is made at the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie, at the Espérance distillery in Capesterre-Belle-Eau, from pure R579 red cane juice. Distilled in 2020, this agricultural rum is aged for four years in four new French oak barrels from the forests of Tronçais, Russy, Darney and Cîteaux, all fine-grained and low-toast. After blending in equal parts in 2024, it benefits from additional maturation in Tronçais oak barrels until 2025. Bottled at 48.8% cask strength , unfiltered and limited to 285 numbered bottles, it is the first full bottling of a rum Longueteau by an independent bottler, testifying to the trust placed in it by the Longueteau family.

Tasting notes

The nose combines elegant woodiness with aromas of mandarin, lemon zest, honey and pastry. The palate reveals a full-bodied and silky texture where spices, vanilla, candied fruit, pineapple and creamy nuances mingle, enhanced by a slightly smoky and toasted oak. The long and refined finish extends on empyreumatic notes, punctuated by a touch of nutmeg.
