In homage to the discovery

The Cuvée Christophe Colomb 1493 from Karukera commemorates the arrival of Christopher Columbus in Guadeloupe on November 4, 1493, during his second voyage. This prestigious rum, from the Sainte-Rose distillery, is a blend of agricultural rums aged for a long time in oak barrels, representing the top of the Karukera range.

Prestige and complexity

The nose is rich and expressive: precious woods, bourbon vanilla, chocolate, candied fruit and spices. The palate is ample and velvety, with notes of caramel, sweet tobacco, leather, walnuts and liquorice. The finish is long and elegant. A rum for great tasting that demonstrates the potential of aged Guadeloupean agricultural rums and is a prestigious gift for amateurs.

Karukera

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
