This rum is aged for 9 years in barrels with a capacity of 200 to 600 liters. During its long stay in the barrels, the rum Reimonenq Cuvée Prestige improves by absorbing the tannin of the wood. It then acquires its color, aroma and authentic taste of the distillery's old rums.

The distillery was created in 1916, by the Reimonenqfamily. And like most other distilleries on the island of Guadeloupe, the main production of the Museum's distillery is agricultural rum, distilled from pure sugar cane juice.
