Karukera - Black Edition Alligator 70cl is an old rum from Guadeloupe, marked by a unique finish in intensely burnt new oak barrels. This process, called alligator toasting, gives the wood a rough, charred texture, which enriches the rum with powerful roasted and spicy notes.

A bold finish for an intense rum

After maturing for 4 years in French oak barrels, this Karukera rum has benefited from a passage in strongly toasted barrels, giving it a remarkable complexity and aromatic depth. This intense toasting releases aromas of caramel, brown sugar and ripe fruit, while accentuating the woody and smoky notes.

A powerful and greedy aromatic profile

On the nose, scents of brown sugar, caramel and toasted oak intermingle, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the attack is rich and intense, revealing fruity, spicy and smoky notes, sublimated by the heating of the wood. The finish is persistent, marked by a beautiful roundness and slightly woody and toasted touches. A cuvée of character, perfect for lovers of powerful rums.

Karukera

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
