It is a great classic of the Domaine de Séverin range of old rums "Prestige". The old XO rum has an alcohol content of 45°.

Our tasting notes for XO

Nose : Nez d'abord discret, puis la vanille et la banane cuite prennent un peu d'ampleur.

Palate : Attaque d'abord moelleuse, puis puissante. Le corps est léger, avec toutefois une dominante boisée (tanins) marquée, qui l'emporte sur les notes fruitées (vanille surtout) et bien sûr sucré.

Finish : En finale, la rondeur laisse place à un caractère plus sec, assez épicé, mais tout de même chaleureux... Au total, un Guadeloupéen au caractère rude et puissant.

The Severin estate has belonged to the Marsolle family since 1928. There are Marsolle (which would be of Charente origin) from the beginning of the arrival of the French on the island.
