Since 1788, the family tradition of Grégoire Hayot has been able to innovate in the art of rum making. For the past two decades, he has explored the interaction of oak with rum, seeking the perfect balance between sweetness and power. "The Unusual" is the fruit of this quest. Launched in 2017, this rum is aged in exceptional barrels from the renowned SEGUIN MOREAU cooperage. The result? A rum with a distinct aromatic character, with fruity, round and sweet notes, perfectly counterbalanced by a delicate bitterness. With an alcohol content of 45.2% and a volume of 70cL, "L'Insolite" is an invitation to delight.

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
