An emblematic house of Guatemala

The name Zacapa evokes the city nestled in the Guatemalan highlands, the birthplace of this iconic rum. Since its creation, the distillery has cultivated a unique know-how, based on ageing at altitude, at 2,300 metres, favouring a slow and subtle maturation. The Heavenly Cask collection pays homage to the specific casks used during ageing, giving each expression its uniqueness.

Exceptional ageing

Zacapa The Pasión is aged using the Solera process, a complex method of blending rums of various ages. This edition highlights the use of ex-Pedro Ximénez barrels, formerly used for the famous Spanish sweet wine, bringing depth and sweetness. This particular care makes it a rare rum, with a generous aromatic profile.

Tasting notes

The nose reveals aromas of caramel, vanilla and dried fruit. On the palate, the texture is unctuous, with marked notes of honey, nuts and dried fruits. The long and persistent finish mixes caramel and woody nuances, offering a tasting of great elegance.
