Origin and production

From cask n°88, this SXG rum was distilled from molasses in a simple wooden still, using a traditional method specific to the Diamond distillery, one of the most emblematic in the Demerara region of French Guiana. Selected and bottled by the Italian house Samaroli — renowned for its quest for authenticity and its exceptional bottlings — this rum has 51% and only 252 copies were produced. Its long, partly tropical ageing gives the spirit a rare complexity and depth.

Flavour profile

This Rum Collection 1 Diamond SXG 20 Year Old reveals a vibrant bouquet: lively citrus, expressive esters and saline nuances reminiscent of olive and kaffir lime zest. On the palate, notes of kiwi, papaya, mango and green pineapple intertwine with a persistent herbaceous freshness. A rum with character, with a racy elegance, at once complex, luminous and infinitely expressive.
