A legendary distillery

Established in the early 19th century, the Enmore distillery was renowned for its wooden Coffey still , built in 1880. Used to purify the vapours and preserve the aromatic complexity, this still was transferred to Uitvlugt in 1994 and then to Diamond in 1999, after the closure of the two distilleries. This 1988 vintage is therefore a historical testimony to a bygone golden age.

  • - Nose: Deep aromas of molasses, dried fruit and sweet spices, enriched with woody and resinous notes typical of wooden stills.

  • - Palate: A full-bodied and complex attack, revealing flavours of caramel, cocoa, tobacco and ripe fruit, accompanied by a touch of green olive and walnut.
