Port Mourant - 1993 vintage is a centerpiece of the golden age of Demerara bottlings by Velier (2004-2015). Distilled in Uitvlugt, on the unique double wooden still of Port Mourant, this rum captures the essence of the centuries-old traditions of rum production in Guyana. This Greenheart wood still, famous for its remarkable qualities, gives the distillate a heavy, oily character, appreciated for its richness and aromatic depth. With production from 10 casks, this rare vintage exemplifies Velier's expertise as a pioneer in tropical rum bottling. The history of this still, dating back to 1732, and its central place in the traditions of the Royal Navy, add a fascinating historical depth to this exceptional rum.
