A historic rum: the Kill Devil - Guyana 12 years old (Versailles)

Produced in the Demerara region of Guyana, this rum was distilled in 2004 in the Versailles still , one of the oldest in the world, now inactive but still kept in the Diamond distillery. This wooden still gives rum a unique signature, combining richness and complexity.

After 12 years of ageing in a single cask, this Single Cask was bottled without reduction, preserving all its intensity. With only 247 bottles, this cask strength rum is a real rarity sought after by enthusiasts and collectors.

A captivating flavour profile

On the nose, this rum reveals powerful and dry notes, with accents of tropical fruits, marzipan and fine spices such as pepper. A refreshing touch of licorice and lime enhances the whole. On the palate, it envelops the palate with rich flavors of candied fruit, prunes, licorice and spices such as cloves, for a complex and evolving experience.

The finish is marked by a beautiful balance between candied fruit and herbaceous notes, with a memorable imprint of leather and metal, the signature of the rums produced with the Versailles still.
