A single cask Uitvlugt 1999, limited edition

Distilled in 1999 on the iron pot still of the Uitvlugt distillery in Guyana — a site that is now closed — this rum was aged for 16 years in a single cask before being bottled as a cask strength in a limited edition of 300 to 370 bottles. The nose is intense and complex, blending tropical notes of mango and ripe banana with accents of liquorice, molasses and ancient wood. On the palate, the power is contained by an oily texture and deep aromas of cooked fruit, spices and burnt caramel. A collector's rum.

Kill Devil is a brand of Scottish independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd. Rums are not processed, filtered and no additives are added. The barrels are aged in the Scottish climate. Bottled in Scotland as well.
