The Pyrat XO Reserve is a blend of Caribbean rums aged for up to 15 years in French oak barrels from Limousin. Created in Anguilla, it pays homage to the tradition of blended rums from the West Indies. Its iconic bottle, adorned with a monkey mask inspired by the Plantagenets, makes it as seductive as the nectar it contains.
Sweetness and greediness
The nose is immediately flattering: candied orange peel, vanilla, caramel, coconut and honey. The palate is soft and enveloping, with flavours of tropical fruits, warm spices, toffee and a characteristic citrus touch. The finish is warm and persistent. A particularly accessible rum that appeals to neophytes and amateurs alike. It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a luxury Mai Tai .
