Plantation Guyana Millésime 2005 is the only rum in the Plantation range to have cane sugar syrup as a raw material.
Resulting from a long fermentation, distillation in a Charente still, then aged in Bourbon barrels, it has acquired a very nice balance.

Bottled at 45%, it is a "masterpiece of harmony and power" according to Paul Pacult, in the Spirit Journal (April 2015).

This rich rum from a pot still still expresses here all its fat, its robustness, in the purest tradition of Demerara with a wide fruity register, spices both sweet and spicy giving it a lot of relief in the mouth and finish. Bottled at 45% to respect this rare and inimitable style!

Fermentation : 1 week Distillation: 2005, potstill.

Tropical aging : seven years in Bourbon barrels, Guyana

Continental Aging, Ageing: two years in Pierre Ferrand barrels, Château de Bonbonnet, France.


Did you know?
The label refers to St. George's Anglican Cathedral, dating back to the city's colonial era. The frieze features an Amerindian headdress, symbol of the indigenous population of the country and still present in the coat of arms of Guyana.
