S.B.S Guyana 1994 is a single cask of only 124 bottles. This is the 100% Pot still rum from the now closed Enmore Sugar Estate (1994) and distilled on the unique wooden still of Versailles. One of the legendary stills that can now be found in the last remaining distillery in Guyana, Demerara Distillers Limited or DDL.

The Versailles Still or Wat Still wooden still is now one of only 2 wooden stills. The second being the double wooden still of Port Mourant, also located in DDL. There were many more of this kind in Guyana, but with the decline of the sugar industry, they slowly disappeared. Guyana has grown from more than 100 distilleries in the 1800s, to about 50 in the early 1900s and today only 1. Luckily, DDL takes good care of the stills, so we will be able to drink rum from these wonderful stills for many years to come.
