When the Haitian terroir meets the American oak

Produced by the Barbancourt house in Haiti, in the Cul-de-Sac plain, Barbancourt - Golden Cane is derived from the Madame Mevs hybrid cane variety, emblematic of the country. Distilled from pure cane juice on a double-column still, it is part of the tradition of rums with character produced from carefully selected local raw materials.

A breeding that shapes its identity

Its maturation in American bourbon barrels, made from century-old oak trees from Kentucky, brings an extra dimension to its profile. This American Bourbon Cask Finish finishes a balance between the vegetal freshness of the cane and the nuances brought by the wood, while preserving the identity of the rum. Bottled at 45°, this spirit has a clear colour with straw yellow reflections.

The Golden Cane reveals an elegant register where fresh cane, white flowers and dried fruits are expressed. A harmonious composition that underlines both the richness of the Haitian terroir and the measured influence of aging in bourbon barrels.
