On the palate, the body is powerful, mellow, well balanced.
The finish is powerful and complex, with some roasted notes, cooked fruit (prunes), and citrus fruits in compote (orange jam).

Aged for 8 years, Cinq Etoile rum, or "Réserve Spéciale" is all about balance. It is excellent dry, but can be enjoyed with ice cubes, embellished with a lemon zest, to reveal all its subtleties.
