Originating from the garden island of Kaua'i, the RumClub Private Selection - Ed.30 Hawaiian Rum Koloa 2017 is the first single cask rum from the Kōloa Rum Company to be introduced in Europe. Founded in 2009, this Hawaiian distillery has become a notable player in the international rum scene thanks to its unique craftsmanship, using local raw cane sugar and a steam-powered copper iron still .
Aged for 5 years in heavily toasted American white oak barrels, this rum expresses a fascinating aromatic palette. The nose reveals notes of fruit, vanilla, nutmeg, flowers and burnt caramel. On the palate, it offers a blend of spices, coconut, young wood and milk chocolate, with a hint of salt and a slightly bitter and creamy finish.
