Founded in 1886, Rivière du Mat is one of the few distilleries in the world to produce both traditional rums and agricultural rums. It has two distillation columns: a single one offering powerful rums and a triple producing lighter rums. As for their ageing, it is orchestrated by Christian Vergier, one of the world's leading experts in ageing and carried out mainly in French oak barrels.
